Living intentionally in a money-led world

We live in such a fast-paced money-driven world and it’s easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle. Thinking about how we can earn our next ‘big break’ or expand our current offerings to bring in another revenue stream. Feeling this kind of pressure starts to take its toll. We already have so many responsibilities, it’s overwhelming to have the pressure of contributing financially to the household on top of it all.

The world around us is constantly telling us that money, status and productivity is what defines our success. How much profit we’re making, how many followers we have, what the engagement was on our last post.

I want this next season to be more about intentional living.

I’m probably not going to slow down entirely, I like keeping busy. Honestly, I’m constantly reevaluating my goals and dreams with what’s really necessary.

I want to be intentional about how I’m spending my time.

I’m asking myself:

  • What is enough for me?

  • What is enough money?

  • What is enough work?

  • What is enough time?

  • What is enough connection?

Because when I start to answer those questions honestly, I find that I’m putting unnecessary pressure on myself just because I feel like it’s what society expects from me. I don’t actually need to make $10K a month. I’d rather be spending time with my family and investing in them.

I might not change overnight, but I’m working on building the life and mindset I want choice by choice.

  • How I spend my mornings

  • How I speak to people

  • What work I take on (or choose not to)

  • How often I check my phone

Maybe the change comes when we stop fighting against the pace of the world, and just start choosing to not run with it. We set our own pace, eyes fixed on our own lane.

  • We take a wander through the garden just to notice whats new

  • We eat a meal with family without our phone

  • We clear a day or an afternoon in our schedule just to pause and breathe

Its easier when others around you are choosing to do the same. That’s why I’ve created our Garden Gatherings. It’s an invite to join with others to pause, connect and appreciate the lives we have already.

It’s a reminder:
You’re allowed to move slower.
You’re allowed to treasure beauty.
You’re allowed to seek connection, not competition.
You’re allowed to rest, even when the world tells you to run.

Cultivating connection. Celebrating beauty.
Together, we practice a different pace.

Join us at our next Gathering.
